March Free Forums at LSU Alexandria

<p> Continuing Education at LSU Alexandria is offering two Free Forums in March. The programs are free, but pre-registration is encouraged. To register or for more information, call LSU Alexandria Continuing Education at 473-6495. Free Forums will be held monthly through May and are sponsored by the Bank of Lecompte. <p></p> "Healthy Travel: What to Know and What to Do" will be held Thursday, March 13 from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. at the new Rapides Parish Health Unit (6504 Coliseum Blvd), next to the coliseum. The program will be held in the community meeting room. <p></p> Dr. John Naponick, medical director, Department of Health and Hospitals Office of Public Health, will discuss how to stay healthy while traveling abroad, including immunizations and food safety. <p></p> "I Want to go to College But…" will be held Thursday, March 27 from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. on the campus. Shelly Kieffer, recruiter and admissions counselor for LSU Alexandria, will lead this program for prospective students interested in any college or university. Admission, financial aid and student services professionals will also be available to discuss college issues and answer questions. <p></p> Additional information about forums and other non-credit classes is available at www.lsua.edu.
