LSUA to Observe Constitution Day

Discussions about citizens’ rights granted by amendments to the U.S. Constitution and a performance of patriotic music by the Louisiana National Guard’s 156th Army Band will highlight LSU Alexandria’s annual observance of Constitution Day on Thursday, (Sept. 17) announced Dessie Williams, director of multicultural affairs. The event will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the campus quadrangle.

Each of the Constitution’s 27 amendments will be presented at booths manned by 18 student groups. The LSUA Debate Team also will hold a mock debate on constitutional issues.

The event is free and open to the public.
