Two additional members of the LSU at Alexandria faculty have been awarded promotion and tenure by the LSU
Board of Supervisors, announced Dr. Tom Armstrong, vice chancellor for academic and student affairs.
Dr. Bonnie Hines was promoted to librarian, which is equivalent to the rank of professor, and granted tenure. Dr. Dorothy Lary, chairwoman of the Department of Nursing, was awarded tenure.
Hines and Lary join a group of five LSUA faculty members who were promoted and six who received tenure at an earlier meeting of the LSU Board of Supervisors. All are effective for the 2009-10 academic year.
