LSUA Alumni and Friends to Hold Cochon de Lait April 30

Released: 04/07/2009

The Alumni and Friends Association of LSU at Alexandria will hold its spring social – featuring a cochon de lait catered by Kyrle’s of Mansura – April 30 at 6 p.m. on the campus quadrangle. Tickets are $20, and reservations are encouraged by calling Mary B. McCampbell in the Office of Institutional Advancement, 318-619-2917. Tickets are on sale from the Office of Auxiliary Services, and they also may be purchased at the door.

LSUA graduates, former students and friends of the university are invited. Dr. David Manuel, who is nearing the end of his first academic year as chancellor, will present a campus update. Music will be provided by Steve Wells and David Marler.

McCampbell, who is coordinating the event, said the AFA social “brings together in a casual and fun atmosphere people who share an interest in LSUA. It’s always an enjoyable evening.” If there is inclement weather the event will be moved to the State Evacuation Center adjacent to campus.
