Donations Sought for Annual Library Book Sale

Released: 03/25/2009

Friends of the James C. Bolton Library, an organization that supports the academic library at LSU at Alexandria, is asking for donations of books, DVDs and videos for the annual book sale. Donations will be accepted April 6-9 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the library. Additional information is available at 473-6441.

Jules Tate, director of library services, said books of all types will be accepted. “The response each year from the donating and buying public is quite substantial, and it allows us to offer several hundred books at the sale,” Tate said. Hardbound books generally sell for $2 and paperbacks are $1.

The book sale will be held April 24-25 during the university’s Spring Renaissance Festival. All proceeds are used for Bolton Library projects.
