Feb. 2 Deadline for LSUA Leadership Challenge Scholarship

The application deadline to participate in the second annual LSUA Leadership Challenge scholarship competition is Feb. 2, announced Shelly Kieffer, director of admissions and recruiting. The competition is open to high school seniors.

The winner will receive a $3,000 scholarship per academic year for up to four years at LSU at Alexandria. Second place will earn a $2,000 scholarship yearly, and third place will bring a $1,500 annual scholarship. Scholarship winners must be actively involved in an LSUA organization and maintain a 3.0 college grade point average to continue receiving the award.

A full day of leadership competition will be held on the LSUA campus Feb. 21. Kieffer said students will participate in "real world problem solving and goal achievement exercises in small-group scenarios during the competition."
