Released: 10/31/2008

Teresa Seymour has been appointed executive director of enrollment and records at LSU at Alexandria, announced Dr. David Manuel, chancellor. The appointment is part of an integrated reorganization of the university’s student recruiting, admissions, financial aid and registrar functions.

The chancellor also appointed Shelly Keiffer as director of admissions and recruiting and Paul Monteleone as interim director of financial assistance.

“LSUA experienced substantial growth in the number of applicants for enrollment last year, and the application rate is running even higher this year,” Manuel said. “The reorganization is designed for greater efficiency externally and internally as we manage the enrollment process.”

Seymour, formerly director of records/registrar, has worked at LSUA since 1995. “She is a ‘student-first’ person with a variety of skills, and I’m very confident that she will be an effective leader in our plan to grow and retain the LSUA student body,” Manuel said.

Keiffer, a long-time member of the university’s student recruiting team, was assistant director for recruiting and outreach before the promotion. She has worked at LSUA for 12 years.

Monteleone spent seven years at Northwestern State University as coordinator of scholarships and coordinator of enrollment services before joining LSUA, where he was a professional advisor before the latest appointment

“We are in the process of streamlining and coordinating the application, admission and financial aid process to better serve prospective and current students,” Seymour said. “It’s part of our goal to be an institution of choice.”
