Tulane's Ronald Marks to Speak at Cavanaugh Lecture

Dr. Ronald Marks, dean of the School of Social Work at Tulane University, will be featured Nov. 7 in the Cavanaugh Public Lecture series sponsored by LSU at Alexandria. Marks will speak on “Transformational Learning in the Context of International Social Work Education” at 6 p.m. at the Alexandria Museum of Art. The lecture, which includes a reception, is free and open to the public.

Marks has led study trips to Dharamsala, India, where he worked with Tibetan refugees and met with the Dalai Lama. His presentation will include experiences in travel study to Africa, South America and India.
