Paul, Screpetis Top LSUA Graduates

Lynette M. Paul, a bachelor of liberal studies student from Pollock, and Meredith Screpetis, an associate of arts student from Pineville, received the University Medal for highest academic achievement at LSU at Alexandria’s spring commencement Thursday at the Alexandria Riverfront Center. The awards are presented to the baccalaureate and associate degree students with the highest grade point average.

Paul, an English major who maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA, and Abeer Salman Salam, a mathematics major from Alexandria, graduated suma cum laude. Magna cum laude graduates were Levelle D. Harris of Alexandria, and Jessica Lynn Paul and Sara James of Pineville.

Cum laude graduates were Jason Wheeler, Brianne Bennet Strother and Frances Jeanette Cole of Pineville, Trayce Lynn Snow of Alexandria, Cherie Patrice Fretwell of Ville Platte, Malacha Neal of Jena, Sabrina Nichole Street of Montgomery, and Jessica N. McCormick of Elmer.
