Twelve of the more than 40 courses offered this semester through the Department of Continuing Education at LSU at Alexandria will begin in February, announced Cathy Andries, director.

Classes in computers/technology include Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Beginners, Using Computers and the Internet, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Computer Basics.

Three water aerobics classes will be offered: Aerobic Deep Water Exercise, Arthritis Foundation Shallow Water Aquatics, and Aquacise.

Personal enrichment courses starting next month are Learning the Guitar and Gardening with Long Blooming Plants.

Preparatory classes Paralegal, an intensive program for beginning and advanced legal professionals, and Study Skills for Junior High School Students, and a professional skills course in Japanese Culture and Language also will be offered.

LSUA also makes available 41 online, non-credit classes in business, construction/automotive, Internet design/technical programs, networking certification, Microsoft certification, and video game design and development. These classes can be joined at any time.
