Free Sessions on Effective Interviewing Sponsored by CAP, LSUA

Cenla Advantage Partnership and LSU Alexandria are sponsoring three free sessions on matching employers with skilled employees Tuesday, Nov. 20 and Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Dr. Paul C. Green is a nationally known speaker on the subject of interviewing for success. He is the originator of behavioral interviewing technique, an industrial organizational psychologist and an author with over 35 years of experience in training and consulting.

For human resource professionals and their staffs, Green will conduct a seminar on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 10:30 a.m. on the importance and techniques of effective interviewing to hire effective employees. Lunch ($12 per person) will follow and will feature an open discussion of workforce issues.

For small business owners, Green will provide a program on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. He will discuss how to effectively use interviewing to hire the right employees for their businesses.

For students and interviewees, a session will be held in the Barbara Brumfield-Caffey Annex on the campus of LSUA on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. Green will be the featured speaker for the Fourth Annual Thanksgiving Psychology Forum. The session will address the importance of the interview process for getting a job or applying to law, medical or graduate school.

These events are funded by the CAP and hosted by LSUA. All sessions are free and open to the public as part of efforts to improve the business climate of Central Louisiana and to provide employers and work force with state-of-the-art information and skills.
