Public Lecture Explores LA Women Writers, Catholic Tradition

The final Cavanaugh Public Lecture sponsored by LSU Alexandria Arts, English & Humanities will be held Thursday, Nov. 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the LSUA Bolton Library.

Elizabeth Beard, LSUA instructor of English and director of LSUA’s Writing Center, discovers religious motives and motifs in such writers as Brenda Marie Osbey and Rebecca Wells.

This lecture is free and open to the public.

The public lecture was recently renamed the Cavanaugh Public Lectures to honor former Chancellor Robert Cavanaugh’s contributions to advancing Arts and Humanities in Central Louisiana.
