Guitarist Josh Hyde to Give Free Performance Oct. 25

Guitarist Josh Hyde, a native Louisianan, will perform a free concert at the Alexandria Museum of Art on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 5:30 p.m.

Hyde has released three cds (all recorded in Alexandria at Bell Recording Studio) containing his mix of Louisiana inspired original recordings.

His latest CD “Dark Side” is reflective of New Orleans in the context of Ann Rice’s influence. Past collaborations include notable artists such as slide guitarist Sonny Landreth and Grammy nominated Nashville songwriter Steve Conn. Past performances include the New Orleans French Quarter Festival and many other festivals and club venues.

Hyde and local music psychologist Greg Gormanous will explore Hyde’s musical influences and unique sound.

This Free Forum is presented by LSU Alexandria and Red River Band as a public service to the community.
