LSUA Hosts Battle of the Bands at Harvest Fest Oct. 10

LSU Alexandria kicks off fall with a Harvest Fest on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Scheduled activities range from the Battle of the Bands to begin at 7:30 p.m. to the crowning of the Harvest King and Queen at 5 p.m. to a bonfire at sundown behind the Fitness Center.

A hayride, which will serve as a taxi service from event to event, is also included in the festivities. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., food will be served and field games will be played on the Quad. Following the Battle of the Bands, dodgeball and volleyball will be played in the gym.

Nine bands are scheduled to compete in the Battle of the Bands in the Quad. Bands included are US, Makada, The Philly Day Rollers, 13 Story Drop, Nethermost Majesty, The Armored, Passing a Starfighter, Dick, Larry & Mick, and If Nothing Else. Between acts entertainment will be provided by local up-and-coming artists Chris Hamlett and My Dearest Vanity.

All events are free and open to the public except the Battle of the Bands which is $1 for non-LSUA students. LSUA students must present their current ID card to enter the battle for free.
